Tuesday!

Another day of the week and today I'm hoping to not have to do much running! I just really am looking forward to a day where I can STAY PUT!! I've got a lot to get done and seems like not much time. My plans always seem to change and what I wanted to do for the day, is placed on the back burner.

I'm trying to finalize my plans for the retreater that I have planned for my Stampers from my stamp club (when I was in Big Lake). We are heading across the border to Danburry, WI to Crop A Lot Cabin, retreat center. It's out in the woods and will just be a weekend full of FUN! I will post pictures when I return. That way you will all be able to ENJOY some of the fun too!

Today's post is a card that I made for friend whose just dear! I just started playing with the Upsy Daisy stamp set from SU. Colors are SU kraft/bashful blue/Whisper White/Certainly Celery. I LOVE these colors!!
Have a wonderful day!

It's Monday!

HAPPY Monday!

The sun is up and I guess I best start my day too. I will be running errands today and then tonight I get to go out for my birthday dinner! We will be heading to the Pick Wick. They have a GREAT menu & the BESTEST food! Then off to DD Volleyball game. I'm also hoping to get some more stampin' done. My booth at Sweet Peas was picked over this past weekend pretty good. LOTS of visitors checking out all the beautiful fall colors!

It's almost October, which means "Halloween", so my today's post is picturing something I've made up for my little Gobblins.

Have a WONDERFUL Monday!

Sunday!

Today was a very busy, busy day. We drove down to the cities to help celebrate my nephew's 13th birthday. Not much chance to stamp, as it's a 2 1/2 hour drive, but you only turn 13 once!

I'm sharing three pictures with you today! The first is a picture of the birthday boy, (the cute thing here is the GIANT roll of duck tape that one of his cousins gave him as a gift. Aaron can never have enough tape of any kind!) The second is of a my DD on the Homecoming parade. Being she's a Junior, she was on the Junior float. She really enjoyed tossing out candy to all the little and big kids that lined the streets. It was a FUN fall day! The weather was gorgeous and the leaves are starting to change to their vibrant fall colors. How can that not make for a perfect day? I still snuck a bit of time for stampin' about 1 AM last night. So I am also including a post of the two of the six adorable little monkey tins I did up. I just LOVE this daisyd's cardstock!!!! Wish I would have bought more up. Oh well there will be another favorite when I walk into the scrapbook store, right?!

Enjoy your evening.

It's Saturday!

What a busy - busy day ahead of me today. It's a GORGEOUS day after a stormy night. We ended up with 1 1/4" of rain in our rain gauge, WOW! Thunder & lightening, makes for nice sleeping. I LOVE listening to the rain coming down on our roof. We have a metal roof and it just gives a little ping, ping when it rains, even hard. Why is today going to be busy you ask? It's our High School Homecoming game. Being we are a small town, it's a very BIG thing here! Started off last night with a Community Pep Fest and many dinner specials at all the local eating places. Turn to this morning and we have a parade, followed by the game and then the Homecoming dance. I will not be getting much time in my stamp room today. (Frowning face here)

Today's post is something that really doesn't have much to do with stamping, but maybe it does - - I get lots of ENERGY from it! It was such a sweet lovely treat that my DH brought home to me after working down by the local candy shop. I just LOVE Bear Tracks!! They might be called Bear Claws, but whatever they are called by you - YOU gotta try them! They are just the most AWESOME treats!!

I best wish you a WONDERFUL Saturday and get mine going!

Let the weekend begin!

HAPPY FRIDAY!!

I'm looking forward to the weekend. Nothing much planned, just to take it easy and ENJOY! I hope the sun is shinning brightly where ever you are today and that you are also getting ready for your weekend to begin!

Aren't these little notebooks just the CUTEST?! I found them at Target, they came in packs of two. Can't go wrong with anything that comes in sets of two!! They are the perfect size to fit into your purse and make all those holiday notes in.

I'm back!

Hi All!

Sorry that I've been MIA for a few days. Just busy, busy with things going on around the house. Trying to get things done and organized. Takes a lot of work and a lot out of me. But that was the other day, now it's Thursday evening and I'm trying to play catch up on my computer things.

Today's post is of a gift I made for a dear friend. She is one of the BESTEST teachers that I know!

I will be back to my regular posting now.

Monday - Monday

Starting off another week! It's autumn in northern Minnesota. The leaves are starting to change colors and the air is getting a bit more crisp. It's my time of year! I really enjoy the fall!! I love the smell of firewood burning and people baking, filling the air will wonderful aroma!

Today's post is the first part of my trying, yes trying to get organized. I saw this method of organization on Nancy Riley's blog: http://stampinat6213.blogspot.com. I just LOVE her site! She is an AWESOME stamper and I always received motivation when I visit her site. I was sad to hear that she was having to leave the SAHM life and get a job to help her family at this time in the world of economic problems. But I do understand and I still visit her site.

I hope you all enjoy taking a peak at my adventures into organizing. LOL

Super Sunday!

Good Morning!

Yesterday we took a road trip to the cities to get some errands done. Was fun, but a long day. I'm looking forward to being able to stamp some today and really get some things accomplished.

I'm putting the final touches on my retreater for my Big Lake Stampers. This is my group of friends whom I had to leave behind when we moved up north. So in a couple of weeks I am so lucky, as I get to spend a weekend with them in Danburry, Wisconsin!! I will make sure to post some pictures for you all to see.

Today my post is the first of my tags, for my tin tag set. I will post them one by one, as I get them made and then a final picture of all, with the tins in which they will go into.

I hope you all have a SUPER Sunday too!

It's Friday!

Yep I know everyone is getting ready to start their weekends. Isn't that what we all think when we get up on Friday morning and are excited going to work or beginning our day? I hope everyone has FUN plans for the weekend! We are hoping to get some things done around here. Me, I'm hoping to find some time to get some stampin' done again this weekend! We will see.

Today I'm posting the last of my projects that I worked on last weekend. This is a darling little "Tooth Fairy" box that I made up. I actually CASED it from my SWEET Shistah Cami!! Thanks!! Think of the little child's face when they place that tooth into this adorable little tin and then under their pillow. The WOW when they get up the next morning and find the treat that was left behind from the "tooth fairy".

Have a terrific Friday!

The sun is shinning and that tells me it's going to be a GREAT day! I'll got my "Muffy and me" walk in, to start the day off. (That's the dog) and then I will be working on organizing more of my stamp room. I just wait for the day to say - - - it's DONE!!

Here's another project that I worked on over the weekend. This is a little trinket box that I found a stash of when we moved. OMG, what I all didn't find when we moved! I'm having so much FUN getting things done for my craft booth at "Sweet Peas".

Have a totally COOL Tuesday!

The weeks starting!

Good Morning Everyone!

I'm not sure where the weekend went to, but it seems like they just fly right by way too much faster than the weeks do!

This weekend I worked on more projects for my craft booth at Sweet Peas. I will showcase a picture of a project each day that I worked on over the weekend. Todays project is my "MommyJournal". I have had so much FUN making these!! They are a composition notebook which I have taken a covered with card stock (some of which is background paper and other which is plain and I have stamped on) and then there is a little poem on the front inside cover which tells the Mommy to make sure to make notes about the "little" things that baby does. This will become a keepsake for the future, to remember and treasure forever.

Please keep stopping by and let me know what you think!

Sunny Sunday

I hope it's a sunny Sunday where you are. It's not up north! The rain came in late yesterday afternoon and has not stopped since! The rain gauge says that we have gotten 1 1/4" of rain. That is good, as things were getting pretty dry around here and cause I had to stay in I got to play with my stamps. Though I need to spend more time organizing my stamp room, then playing in it. Oh well the next rainy day I will organize.

Here's a little something that I worked on for my craft booth at "Sweet Peas" in Two Harbors.

ENJOY your day and hope for rainbows if it's raining and may you find the pot of gold.

Weekend's here!!

It's Saturday and I am planning on enjoying it! It's a gorgeous day up north and the sun is shinning. I will get a walk or two in and then I hope to do some fall cleaning and of course some stampin' will be part of it!

I used the SU stamp set "Inspired By Nature" for my card today. This is a set that we received when I attended the SU convention this past August.

ENJOY your weekend!

It's Friday!

Let the weekend begin! I think this is the way most of us feel by the time Friday arrives!! I know that I so look forward to the weekends and being able to spend some time with my family and just hanging out in my stamp room!

Here's a picture of the fridge magnets that I did for my booth at Sweet Peas. Sweet Peas is an adorable, little shop located right in the downtown of Two Harbors, MN. They rent out booth space to Crafters so they have a spot to display their talents. I am very excited about it. We will see how this little adventure of mine will go.

I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL Friday!

Hugs,
maria

Thursday, September 11, 2008

I hope everyone will take a minute out of their day to say a prayer and remember those who lost their lives seven years ago on this tragic date in history.

Here is the project that has been consuming my time. Abby, my DD and I will be throwing a bridal shower for my nephew's finance. These are the invites that we did for her shower. Her colors are the deep purple. I used a SU set called "Heartfelt Thanks", which I LOVE. I shaded the flowers with Perfect Plum water color crayons and used my aqua painter to spread the color around. I was very happy with how they turned out.

Have a GREAT day!

Happy Wednesday!

Sorry I'm posting this later in the day then I had planned. Internet service up north does not always cooperate with us. ERRRR

Today I am posting a picture, but not of a paper project, sorry! I am sharing with you a picture of my last bit of summer that I think we will see up north. The weather man is predicting cooler evening temps and frost. This means that things will be going dormant here and brown. Guess that just means I will start looking forward to next spring!! Hopefully that means I will find more time to STAMP!

I am opening up my workshop space to my friends and Stampers whom would like to come and join me on the third Friday of every month. I think of all the FUN times that will be had!

I hope you will enjoy the last picture of summer from up north.

Hugs,
MaGooo/maria

Next day of the week -

It's Tuesday and I think that I have figured out how to get my cards loaded here. This is a birthday card that I did the other day, for my dear Hubby. He turned the big 50 and he LOVES to golf! So I thought this would be the perfect card for him.

He also thought it was cute. WOW!

Taking the dive into the Blog world

Hello, I'm sure there are a few of my friends out there who are going - - - finally, she's writing something on her blog. I hmmm & hawed about this, as I'm not the best at staying on top of things all the time. But after seeing that even my Shistah Pal Prinny has taken the dive, I figured that I would just jump right after her.

I will eventually post some card samples - pictures, who knows what else. Until then I will be figuring out how I'm suppose to do that.

Stay tuned you just don't know what you may find here.
