Back to the cold up north!

Yep it was a wonderful trip and so much FUN to spend time with family!!! Now back to life of living up north, where the wind blows and the snow flies! We received a wonderful Christmas gift from the weather man - - - 22 inches of snow! I could not believe that!! Wonder if I can return that gift?

It was nice to see the snow for Christmas though!

With all the snow it made me start thinking about what to get ready for our next Holiday. Seems like when you craft, your mind is always a Holiday or two ahead. LOL

Remember the cute little mailboxes that were at the Target Dollar spot??? What's with the thinking that I need to purchase all that I possibly can?? I came across them in my stash and thought it would be a perfect way to start off Valentine projects!

It's Thursday!

I'm not sure where the days are going, but Christmas will be here before we know it! YIKES!!
I'm really EXCITED for tomorrow to arrive though, as then I will be boarding a plane and heading to warm sunny Florida! Next comes Saturday and I will be getting on a BIG ship and sailing away on a cruise to the Western Caribbean. We will be taking the Carnival Dream, their newest ship. A FUN time will be had by all of us!





This adorable little triangle treat box is something that I came up with. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out! Had to get creative as I was not thinking when I placed my Inky Antic order for stamps this past fall.

Thrilling Tuesday!

The snow has moved up north today. It's looking like a blizzard with all the blowing going on out there. If I may say - - -I'm glad that I'm stuck inside!! BRRRRRR Though I talked with my DS in Colorado and it's not only snowing like crazy, but bitter cold now also!

I've decided it's a good day to stay put with a good cup of Joe, sit by the fire and stamp a little. Oh maybe a lot! LOL





Today I'm sharing one of the frames that I decorated up for a Christmas gift. I really ENJOY making these for gifts. I can take a frame that looks so - so and add some pretty paper and lots of embellishments and tahda!

FUN Friday!

Once again it is Friday again!

I'm sorry I don't have any pictures to share from my trip to Colorado, as the camera they are in a different camera. I will share soon! All I can say is that Colorado is just the most GORGEOUS place in the US! You will understand when I do share the pictures.




So today this is just the cutest little Advent Calendar box that I found (making memories) I had to get it for little Miss Erica (my sweet God Daughter) and she just LOVES it! I placed candy in each box and she's just so cute! She knows that the Advent calendar is to count down til the birth of our dear Lord Jesus already (she's only 2), but she will eat the candy and then with a BIG smile say Jesus!! Toooooo CUTE!

I will have more projects to share tomorrow.

Settling in Sunday!

Yep after a loooooooong drive there and home we are back from Colorado! We had a wonderful time with Tyler and he showed us why he LOVES being there, it's GORGEOUS! I was also able to touch base with a long lost friend and a cousin and his wife whom I haven't seen in a while. All in all it was just a PERFECT way to celebrate Thanksgiving!

Here is something I worked on while driving. I hope you enJOY it as much as I had making it! Just remember to make time to enJOY the season!

Thrilling Tuesday!

Yep as I have been packing my vehicle so we can jump in and leave as soon as DH & DD get home from work & school. (Funny how they both get off at 3:00 PM) DS is sooooooo EXCITED for us to arrive! He's got things all planned out for us, we just need to arrive. lol

I would like to wish you all a HAPPY THANKSGIVING now, as I will most likely not have access to the computer on my travels. Any of you that are traveling please stay safe and have FUN!




Yep another project that I have been working on for the last few days. Made a bunch of them and had FUN doing it!! HO - HO - HO! Santa will be here before we know. Hope you are being good, remember he can see you! This is a skinny tin and it holds six cards w/envelopes. The belly band matches the card. I think that is what made this project so much FUN to make!

Please remember something that you have to be thankful for, after all I think that is truly what Thanksgiving is all about! I am THANKFUL for my WONDERFUL family and friends!!!

Marvelous Monday!

Yep it's nice to start my week out knowing that it's MARVELOUS! It's a short work week for my DH & most of my friends!!! We will be leaving Tuesday to head out and visit our #2 son - Tyler. He moved out to Colorado Springs for a job last August and we have MISSED HIM! I think he's excited for us to come and visit him too. I'm also keeping my fingers crossed that I will be able to meet up with a dear friend whom, I have not seen in YEARS while I'm out there.

Today I'm sharing a card idea that I came up with, when my friend Lana shared a card with me. I have used this card idea many times, but the idea I came up with this time just made me Jump Up and Down!! That's how excited I was! If any of you know the Christmas M & M poem. It's always so hard to figure out how to bag some of those yummy candies up without eating a ton of them myself first. So this was the PERFECT adaption to it! I hope you ENJOY it!



Don't worry I will be working on some projects while I travel, so that I will have things to share with you when I return!

Fabulous FRIDAY!!!

It's actually a very GORGEOUS Friday up north today!! I was able to enjoy my "Muffy" walk and even finished up all the outside fall yard work. Trimming back those flowers and shrubs. The stuff you don't really want to do, cause it just reminds you that soon the yard will be covered with that white stuff and the wind will be blowing pretty darn hard.


I've got some goodie packages with Peppermint Pattys to share with you today. My friend Cami - http://cambriaturnbow.blogspot.com taught me oh I don't even remember how long ago
LOL) how to make them. They are a FUN project for any time and any age!

Tuesday!

What a GORGEOUS day up north is was today! The sun was shinning and it was just NICE!!! Got a Muffy walk in and we both enjoyed that with the sun warming us up.

I did finish most of the outside work that I needed to get done before that white stuff comes!

I also found a little bit of time to work on some stamping projects for my booth at Sweet Peas.



"This is what I worked on, it's a "Count Down to Christmas" magnetic board. I am so EXCITED to get them in my little place! I think they will be a hit! I feel badly, as I cased this idea from a blog, but I do not remember whose it was!

Fantastic Friday!

Isn't that the way we all look at Friday's? I hope so, cause the weekend is right around the corner!!

Today I'm sharing a project I made with some little bags that my Sweet friend Lana gave to me, just a bit ago. Not sure when (I know it couldn't have been that long ago!!), but as the hoarder that I am, I put them in a safe place for just that special occasion when I would need them. I guess the time is NOW! I dug into one of my many boxes of treasures and found these and decided that I had the perfect things to use them for!





Yep if any of you have not yet tried the Hershey's KISSES filled with Mint Truffle, you MUST!! They are a PERFECT Christmas treat!! YUMMMMMA I also used one of my favorite stamps from Stampendous - Changito. I LOVE these silly little guys and have not used them for a while, so when I was trying to decide which stamp I MUST use to dress up the bag, he jumped right off my shelf at me. LOL

Where has the time gone again!

Hello!

I'm not sure how it got to be the beginning of November already! Time just seems to go by waaaay too fast and I always feel like I'm waaaaay behind.





This is one of the projects that I have found the time to work on lately. I put together some card packages for my little spot at Sweet Peas. I tried to put a variety of cards in the package, so that it could cover a range of needs.

Things have been very chilly up north, but what else could we expect for November?!

Where oh where has the time gone?!

I've been caught up in just trying to get things ready for winter up north. Amazing how we didn't have Summer and I'm not sure if we really enjoyed any Fall. Now I'm back and playing in my stamp room! Hoping to get some things done and get a start on my Christmas cards. I made myself a promise that I would have them done and ready to go in the mail by the day after Thanksgiving. We will see if I keep that promise.






So here's a card I made just a few of. I ordered this stamp thinking it would work some where. It does!! It is perfect for a cardfront! Stamp the background image (Medallion), add a phrase or word stamp and tah dah you have a quick and CUTE card. Oh I of course am trying to put a dent in my collection of embellishments also, so I placed a brad in the center of the Medallion.

Finished Product

She sent me some cards with him on them last year and I just new I needed to get him! He's sooooo CUTE! I also like this cardstock that I used. Finally, as I picked it up last year after Halloween, cause I just new I would need it. I did!!

FUN Friday!

Yep it's the start of the weekend already! Where or where do the weeks go? I always have plans of getting so much done during the week and before I know it, it's Friday and I didn't get 1/2 of what I wanted done! Oh well there is always next week, right?!

Seeing as it's Friday - that means it's DATE night too!! DH and I usually try to get out and do something about every Friday. Just our way of reconnecting with each other.





I have a really good friend whose birthday is coming up and she LOVES the soft colors. These colors really remind me of spring, but I like how the card turned out.

Wonderful Wednesday!

Yep the sun is shinning and though we still have that cool crisp air out there, it's warm inside!

I have to make a run down to Duluth and then I will just be staying inside and playing in my stamp room!!!

I'm sharing another Halloween project that I made. Have I told you that I {heart} Halloween?

For this project I went GREEN and looked at all those cute - adorable little sliced olive cans I have been collecting. Why do I collect them and then wonder WHY?!

Nother day to stamp!

The sun's shinning, but it's still a chilly day up north! Good reason to stay inside and play in my stamp room! At least that is what I tell everyone, if they listen, that's another thing! lol

Yep I'm looking towards the end of next month for some ideas. I LOVE these little plastic pails!! They are just so much FUN to play with and I can think of a million and probably one ideas of how to use them.

Fall is back!

Yep it's that time of the year!! FALL - Brrrr! A rainy gloomy day is what is going on up north today. Perfect day to stay inside and just play!

So seeing as fall is fast approaching out there that's what I worked on for today was a fall project. I don't remember where I found the idea for this Scarecrow Stew, but it was on one of my blog surfing days that I found it and saved it. I just feel badly, as I don't know who I need to give the credit to for it.

This is what I've been up to!

Yep I'm with some of my FAVORITE famous friends! This is me (on your left, Lori McAree and Joy Kennedy from OCL (Our Craft Lounge) & EP (Electicpapierie)

We spent the weekend at the MOA (Mall of America) ScrapFest 2009. It was soo much FUN and of course the bestest part of all was getting to meet new people, catch up with some of the old ones and just having a BLAST!

After I get caught up on some of my rest I will start to be a good poster again!

I'm back!

I hope you all had a GREAT & RELAXING Holiday weekend! We did!! It was wonderful to see the kids and spend some time just relaxing, playing games and sitting down at the beach.

Here is one of the projects that I did work on over the weekend.

I had FUN coming up with it and when ever I can put my Big Shot to use, that makes me even happier!

I'm still sitting on the edge of what I will be doing with my SU business. At this time I am not sure if I will remain a demo or not. I will keep you all informed though.

It's Thankful Thursday!

Where did the week go again??? I'm not sure!

I've been workin' on more frames! I really like working with them! So much fun to see what I can come up with! The two I'm showing today are frames I picked up at Wal-Mart.


The first one is one of those little clear plastic frames that you can pick up for a buck about any where. I have even see them at Menard's! The Guys store!


The next one here had a smaller framed area in which they had placed a mirror. I took that out and place a pad of post-it notes instead. I also liked the cardstock which I covered it with. It has flowers all over and the centers are open, PERFECT spot to place a variety of buttons to spruce it up!





So in closing today I would like to let you all know that I am THANKFUL for all my wonderful FRIENDS!

Monday Madness

Some Mondays really seem like that! Especially when you start out getting up late and having to run every where so you make it there on time. YIKES!

I had a very busy - busy weekend. The kids were up from the cities and so we had a GREAT one, just busy. Ate waaaaay too much and laugh a bunch! It's great to know we have done a good job raising them and that they still enjoy coming home and spending time with us!

Thankful Thursday!

I'm THANKFUL for my Sweet friends I have in my life!

Now that I'm back home I am trying to get back into a routine. Hard to do after being gone, taking life easy and enjoying friends! LOTS of friends! I must say that it takes a lot out of a person to have FUN! I think it's the getting back home and dealing with the every day things again that have piled up.

I did get some stampin in over my weekend get away! That is my share for today.


I was able to get a start on my Christmas cards for 2009!


Now I'm off to work on a project that I have going on for a customer.

Sunny Tuesday!

The sun is completely out today!! The humidity is GONE and it's going to be a GORGEOUS day up north!

I've got sooo much stuff to get done before I hit the road and head down to the cities to spend a few days with my Momma and then I'm off to meet up with my Shistahs in River Falls, WI for a weekend retreator!! YEAH!! Oh then on Saturday I have to head back to the cities, as I have my 30th Class Reunion. Not to sure about that one, but am going with my BFF from like forever!






Here is another project that I worked on over the weekend. I LOVE - LOVE redoing these frames!!

I will be MIA for a while. Maybe we will have internet service at the retreator, not sure.

Marvelous Monday!

Where did that weekend go? Seem like they fly by faster and faster every week! How does that happen?

We had some friends from the cities visit over the weekend. It was nice to see them, catch up a bit and chat about our plans for Labor Day (how can that be almost here already!) with them! We are really looking forward to spending the time camping with them then and any thing else we might do.

I was also busy working on projects for Sweet Peas. Seems like my booth has helped keep them very busy, which means I MUST get my butt in gear and get busy - busy too!







Yep I worked on some more of my Val - desk top card sets. These have been a BIG hit there. Val is so talented at coming up with GREAT toots and then is sooooo kind to share them!

Thankful Thursday!

I'm thankful for all my Stampin' Friends! I'm not sure what I would do without any of you in my life! You each have such a special place in my heart!






Whatcha think of this? I just LOVE using up my scraps! I've made this a goal of mine!! To try and use up scraps that I have been saving for like EVER! WHY? When I'm not doing anything with them except collecting. lol So I have been using them when I'm making up a bunch of cards at a time.

Wild Wednesday!

Yep it's that time of the week again. Really I feel like my weeks are some times always wild and crazy! Just try to get too much done with never enough time! lol






Isn't this adorable box just toooo CUTE?!! I have a dear friend who is a teacher and I made one of these for her, as a "Happy back to work" gift. Summer always seems to go by waaaay too fast! Any how she just LOVED it so much, she asked if I would make a few more for her, as she'd like to share this with her teacher friends. How could I say "no"?!! I LOVE putzing on projects like this!!! After I cut two of the box die out, I assembled them and put them together. I then filled it with all kinds of things that Linda will use through the school year.

This project used the #2 box die for the big shot from SU. I purchased this die, wondering if I would really use it. It's one of the more costly ones. I just want to let you know that not only have I used it and feel that I have gotten my money's worth from it, but I have shared it with many of my friends! So if you are on the line about making this purchase - I say go for it! Think of the things that you can fill this box with!

Thankful Thursday!

I am thankful that I live in a GORGEOUS place! I LOVE being up north!




Today's share is a little project I worked on for some little girls. I have LOVED this stamp forever and I have had it forever! I think for at least 10 years or so. I bought it when my DD was itty bitty, but it's still one of my FAVS! It's a stamp from Inky Antics. The cardstock is all scraps from my scrap drawers. I LOVE being able to put those scraps to good use!

What to do Wednesday!

Yep that is what it's called when you find out that your power is going to be out for most of the day, so that the City can do some work on the power box. I think that's a good thing?



So DD and I took off and went berry picking! YUMMMMMMA DH txt me and told me where he was working up the way a bit, there were TONS of wild raspberry bushes. Boy was he RIGHT! Abby & I took off and were prepared for a day of FUN picking some good berries! So today's picture is of Miss Abby picking away.



Here's DH visiting with us during his lunch break. It was nice that he walked on down and visited with us!

It's Tuesday!

The sun is shinning again up north, after a dreary weekend of on and off rain showers or I should say down pours. They would just pop up and WOW did it come down!

I have made some progress in the purging and I now have one table cleared!!!

- - - - -but there are more to clear still! Some day I will be able to post a purged - cleaned - spotless stamping room!

This is a card I did for a mini swap, with a new stamp set called "Sip by Sip". It was in one of the SU mini catties and I'm soooooo glad to see that it made it into the new catty!! I really like it, it's very easy to use and FUN too!

Fun Friday!

Where did the week go??? I'm not sure but I was able to make some head way in my stampin mess room and did some purging! It always feels good to get that done! Then of course there is always something that I have, no I mean that I need and I end up replacing what I purged. Why is it like that??? Today's card is going out to a stampin pal who is in need of some cheering up. Just want her to know that I am thinking of her.





Then I just had to share the cutie in the above picture with you! This is one of the reasons why I sooooo LOVE living up north! Can you believe how big the babies are getting??? To think they were just born a bit ago. This one has almost lost it's spots already. Pretty soon she will just be running for her life, cause it will be hunting season. Mom & baby come to visit almost every evening, just around dusk.

I hope you have a FUN Friday, as I know I will. It's date night at our house! We are heading out for a movie and a bite to eat with our friends. Haven't decided what movie, that will be decided on the drive down to Duluth. LOL

Wild Wednesday

Happy Wild Wednesday!

Here are some treats that I made up for a friend's birthday. Who wouldn't LOVE to get a flower and chocolate?





The sunflower stamp is from Hero Arts and I have had it forever! It is one of my FAVS! I go back to it LOTS! The cardstock that I layered around the Hershey Hugs is odds & ends that I had left over in my stash.

I just returned from lunch out with my friend and now it looks like I will have more time to go back to purging things. It's thundering like crazy and Muffy has already ran under the desk.

It's a STAMPIN' Day!

Yep cause it's raining and has been raining out most of the night. Good for the plants and the yard will look soooooo nice! Saturday!

Happy Saturday Everyone! I hope your Saturday started off better then mine did! I got up early to start breakfast for everyone. Dan's up visiting and wanted to give him a special treat! Overnight, oven baked French Toast. The smoke detector kept going off and I couldn't figure out why. There wasn't any SMOKE! A few minutes later when I peaked there were FLAMES in the bottom! OMW! Rod was here and to say the least, he saved the day! Now I will be going shopping for a new stove I guess.

On to a better things - - - - - - - - Today's share is as I promised you - - - - - - a card from one of my NEW SU stamp sets. It is called Greenhouse Garden and I must say I'm in LOVE with it! It is really FUN and is a very easy to us stamp set.

It's chilly up north! The rain came through last night and looks like it may hit again today. The temps are down and I don't think my garden is liking it! It's only 56 out there - Brrr are we sure it's really July in Minnesota? And they keep telling us there's global warming, hmmmmm.

Today's share is from my last on-line class. All the giggles from being late to the class and finally getting the project finished. But I did more then just one. I must tell you that when Lana posted this class I was excited, as she pointed out to us that we would be able to use up all our scraps of cardstock that we have been collecting. How did she know that we were all collecting it??? LOL
It's a card in which you can include a treat or a gift card would work out perfectly! These are super easy & quick to make!
