Sunny Saturday!

The weekend is off to a WONDERFUL start! How can it not be when the sun is shinning! So even though it's -9 outside I can smile. I will just stay inside by the fire and stamp! I could WISH! We have errands to do and then we will be seeing our friends from the cities, as we have our couples bonkos group tonight. FUN!!

I'm sharing a card I made for a Sweet friend's Aunt! Aunt Mil will be celebrating her birthday coming up here and my friend put out a quest to get some wishes for her Aunt. How can you not send a smile in the mail to help someone celebrate a birthday??? I also included a stamped container - - - - filled with what else but CHOCOLATE! Fun Friday!

That is what I always seem to think of Friday as. It's like the pre-weekend and that in it's self makes if FUN!

The sun is out once again and everything has a new cover of that white stuff. I always like when that happens, as things look NEW once again. But in order for spring to come, I know it will have to turn brown and yucky once again. That's okay, as that really means that Sweatshirt weather will be HERE!!!

Today's share is the design of my ATC card for my friend Stevie's Monthly ATC swap! She made us pick a holiday and use that for the theme this month. I took Sunflower day. I LOVE sunflowers and am looking forward to this summer. My plans are to plant a TON of seed and hope that the birds leave a few of them to come up. I really enjoy when you are driving down the road or freeway and see a sunflower standing tall. That one seed that didn't get eaten and was spit out by someone driving by. Can you tell I'm so ready for WARMTH to arrive to the north?! The cold has gotten very old.

Terrific Tuesday!

Are you all shocked? Two days in a row that I am posting!!

The sun is shinning up north again today and the weatherman said we are suppose to be in the mid 30s today. I think it will be a perfect day to go for a Muffy and me walk. I have been missing those through the winter. Exercising in the house is just not the same as getting outside and breathing some of that fresh northern Minnesota air. Just keep telling myself that sweatshirt weather will be here before I know it and I will be able to get out and enjoy it LOTS!

I'm sharing a FUN project that I did for my little spot at Sweet Peas (the crafty shop in town here). These are good sellers. Today's share has been made with papers from October Afternoon, Hometown Collection. I found this at StarLitStudio.net, Cindy has a wonderful selection of card stock and other goodies. It's Monday!

Yep it is Monday and the sun is shinning! The snow we were suppose to get, ended up being just flurries and that was fine with me! It's to that stage of winter, where you have had enough of the snow and want it to just go! I'm ready for spring to come and make it sweatshirt weather!

Today I'm going to work on some more of my hand therapy and I can tell it's getting better. I did stamp some yesterday, as I need to get some thank yous out! You guest it, that is what today's post is.

A new week!

Hello!

It's afternoon here and I've been just being a bum this weekend. Went to a baby shower yesterday and then have putzed in my stampin room today some.

I have so many family birthdays coming this month, I really needed to figure out a cute, quick gift to give. Something that will let the recipient know that I LOVE them very much, but will not break my bank! Isn't that what we are all dealing with right now? So today's post is a picture of what I came up with, cake in a mug. When I deliver them I will also include some ice cream and toppings. I think this says HAPPY BIRTHDAY & I LOVE YOU!

I'm so blessed!

What a surprise I received today when Mr. Brown arrived at my door!

I have this group of friends, My Shistahs! Most of you have heard me talk of them frequently. If you would have asked me when I first started chatting on line years ago with most of them, that I would have stayed in touched with them, met up with them , laughed with them, cried with them, oh I could go on and on. I would have told you, yeah right..... one might be an axe murderer, HAHAHA Bevie Pearl! It's like we are always there for each other! One for all and all for one! They are family, like my sisters! Just the GREATEST group of women I could ever have asked to meet. I LOVE them all!

So today's picture is of the generosity of them! They helped bring part of CHA to me, seeing as I was not able to go and take part in the FUN!

Happy Sunday Sunshine!

We were pretty low keyed here for Happy Heart day yesterday. We went out and grabbed a bite to eat, early and then were home and ready to watch a movie . It was very cold out yesterday.

To my surprise I think the best gift I received yesterday was from my DD. She left it on my pillow before she left for work yesterday.

I hope you can see the smile I had on my face when I read this. Also the tears it brought, as to think that someone so young really gets it.

Winter is making a return.

Maybe it's just a freaky Friday the 13th joke! Don't think so, but it's snowing like crazy outside right now. It looks like a blizzard out there. To think that I was wondering where spring was.

Today's my Mom's birthday and she will celebrate turning 80! You would never know that by looking at her or trying to keep up with her. She's a very young 80. She has a surprise coming to her too. A BIG party, which she doesn't even have a clue is going to happen. My Dad turn 77 yesterday. So a Happy Birthday to both of them this week! Today's share is the two cards that I cased from some one, I'm sorry I don't remember who.

Where did spring go????

It's not the same weather as it was a few days ago. NOPE! We got hit by an ice storm that moved through our area yesterday and last night. The kids got out of school early yesterday and then got a day off today. I have one happy DD! DH was out sanding early this morning and will be till late tonight I think. I guess that's what being up north is all about. I get to just stay inside and STAMP!

The cards I'm sharing with you today I mailed off to two friends who needed a bit of cheering up. I hope they bring the hugs I'm sending their way. It's also my trying to get back to using my copics and coloring like I use to!!

The Weekend's HERE!

Yep and it's suppose to be a GORGEOUS one up north! The weatherman says it should hit about 40 today. YAHOOOOO! I know it's just a tease, but it tells me that spring will be coming and I am so ready for it! It's so nice that I am taping one of my FAV shows - Sarah Plain and Tall, so that I can enjoy some of the warmth and sunshine.

My share with you today is a treat bag that I designed for my DD and a few of her friends to give to those special people on HEART day. The girls did have fun working on them! I used my new top note die from SU for the Big Shot. I really like this die and I know that I will use it a lot. It makes a GREAT bag topper!

Start thinkin' bout Heart Day!

Before you know it Valentine's Day will be here! This year I decided that instead of CANDY I was going to give all my gang gift cards to their favorite fast food place. Still not the best for them to eat, but it will be a bit better on their teeth.

Today I got a work out at therapy. I had to work on tying ribbon. Guess that Katie thinks I will be able to then tie my own shoes. LOL I hope to be able to do that pretty soon! I have to make 11 of these cute little band aid tins. I thought this card stock, from "My Mind's Eye". was perfect to go with the HAPPY HEART DAY theme! It is one of my FAV card stock companies!

So as you can see - I am working hard on getting back the full use of my hand.

GRACIAS

Today's card was designed at my therapy appointment. I had told the Spanish teacher that I would be happy to use my "Gracias" stamp I had purchased from SU and make her some thank you cards if she needed. She sent me an email over the weekend that she was in need of some to send out to the businesses and people who have been so generous with our kids and their fund raising for their trip to Mexico.

I hope you enjoyed it. I worked very hard to complete eight of them! But I am stampin!

Tomorrow we are going to venture into the world of copics, YAHOOOO!! I'm sure it will take me a bit of time to get my coloring skills back, but I will work very hard!

Organization!

Merry Christmas a bit late. My DH's Christmas gift to me is what I'm sharing with you today. He's behind me 100% in getting organized!! I wish I had more of his organization skills in me. You should see what his shop looks like - OMW you could eat off his work bench. I'm not lying!

So I find that I have a LOVE of stamps, all brands and the single ones that I have collected through out my years of stampin, always seem to end up in a storage box, that way I knew where they were. Problem, I don't always remember what I have and I found myself buying duplicates, YIKES!!! Not a good idea, but where to put them?! For Christmas he decided he would help me solve this problem. So the picture I'm sharing with you is of how I've started with organizing my single stamps. Now I know what I have and exactly which one I need to use for making that card!
