A mouse!

Bet you thought the card today would have a mouse on it??

Nope I have conquered the use of the mouse for the computer once again. Things are not as fast, as they once were, but they are getting faster then they were!

Today's card was done at my therapy on Friday. I am looking forward to stampin' tonight all on my own! I have been designing in my head for a few days now. Do you ever do that? I LOVE to think of the designs and then actually be able to sit down and bring them to real life.

Hope you are enjoying your Saturday!

Terrific Thursday!

I'm not only stampin' in my therapy, but I'm also doing a bit of crafting, YAHOOOO!

Today's share is a project that was started way back when (before all the MS crap started up) and I was going to have them ready to go the first of the year. Yep, that's right. But I decided that it's never too late to start working on organizing! I copied this idea from my friend Mishie. She has some of the CUTEST ideas and always finds AWESOME things to use with them too. She LOVES going junkin' and the finds she makes is just always GREAT!

I hope my little project gives you a bit of inspiration! GO ORGANIZE!

I'm STAMPIN!

Yep, that's right! I've started back on my passion! I stamped these little Happy Valentine Day's projects for my nieces and nephews. I'm hoping they will enjoy them as much as I did making them. My sweet DD, Abby was so kind to her poor old Mom. I did the stamping and she tied the bows for me. That part of putting together a project will take a bit more time. But I DID STAMP!!!

It will take time. But with time and hard work, I know I will keep gaining strength back in my right hand. Which means to me, I will be crafting my heart out again! All in all, that's what is important to me.

Watch to see what I come up with tomorrow!

The most WONDERFUL Friends

Hello!

I'm really working my way back! I've started with my typing skills. I was amazed at how loosing the use of my right hand really limited me. I've started some OT & PT for building back the strength in my right hand and I am hoping that my typing skills will return.

I have to start by saying that I really found how blessed I am! I have LOTS of friends, from all over. Some are here for me every day, others touch my heart every now and then, but I want them all to know how much I TREASURE them!

Today's post is of a bunch of cheer that arrived in my mail box over the last couple of weeks. They are card from friends that I am still just amazed I have in my life! Every day I thank the good Lord for them! It is amazing to think what the internet has brought to me! Who would have known eight or nine years ago when I by chance met one of them and that she just led me into a whole new world! Thanks Lana Sweetie! I really LOVE my Shistahs!!

Okay I'm going to go and practice some more of my Mavis Beacon Typing program. Trying to get my fingers working right.

But the MOST fun that I will have during this recovery period is my OT/PT! It involves STAMPING!!! I am so blessed to have found people who care about their clients and getting them not just better, but lovin' life again! When I met with Katie(the PT/OT) she talked with me, found out bout my passion of stampin' and asked if I'd like to work my passion into my therapy? Didn't take me long to say - - - Of COURSE!! So I am happy to say you will be seeing my progress along with me! I'm very excited to be able to start this road back and share with you all!

If you'd like to keep checking on my progress, just stop by and I will be trying to post something every day!!

LOVE you all and have missed you soooo MUCH!

Just another Path

Hello!

Sorry I've been MIA for a while. Just a bit hard to have and type a blog by "Hen Pecking". LOL
I will go back and explain the "MIA". For those of you that know me, you know that I have MS. Have had it for a time. Any hay me & my MS, we have learned to get along. I guess just like friends, sometimes we forget about ones that matter. One or the other may decide to jab the other to say "Hey - what's up???" So yep my not so nice pal MS made a very nasty appearance towards the end of the year 2008. In fact, it was the worse ever. Even more so then, the ones that started the whole damn thing! At this point in time, I'm still battling back from what it tried to take from me. But you that know me, know that I will not ALLOW for MS to take control of ME!! Things have just slowed me down for a bit, but I am looking forward to returning to my little spot of "Up North" and sharing my crafting LOVE with ya all!

NOW this picture of my what my arm looks like where the IVs went in and out a few times this round, is not meant for any pitty!! NOPE - NOTTA PITTY PARTY here!!! We just want to PARTY!!!! I just hoped you can see there is reason for me to have been MIA!!

Fundraiser Friday!

Yep that's what it is here at the Gilbertson household. DD is going with the Spanish Club to Mexico in the beginning of June, after the school year ends here. So the kids have been busy helping raise the funds for their trip. Tonight they will be bagging groceries and Sunday they will be helping at the Two Harbor Moose; clearing tables, delivering meals to the tables and keeping thing clean by washing the dishes. They accept tips and actually did very well last Sunday morning. Especially as they did it during the snowstorm.

Today's post is just one of those cards that gives you a bit of pick up when you find it in your mail box! Wouldn't it make you smile?

ENJOY your weekends!

The New Year is HERE!!

Hello EVERYONE!

I hope each and everyone of you are enjoying the New Year! I know many of you had to return back to work today, but we gotta do, what we gotta do to pay the bills.

In today's post I'm sharing a step of my starting off the New Year with trying to "ORGANIZE"! This is my word for 2009 - ORGANIZE!!!! I CASED this project from Lisa Somerville. I saw it on her blog and just fell in LOVE with it. What a great way to organize all the pictures I took this past Christmas. I made mine 5 x 5. I used SU baja breeze and close to cocoa card stock. I also used a piece of some DCWV Christmas Stack background paper. I also used the Hanging 3-D Snowflake by sizzix.

Stay warm!

Happy New Years 2009!

How many of you will join me when writing out a check (yes I still write out checks) and when entering the date, put 2008? Happens for the first few and then I will get back into the routine.

Back to stampin' now that the NEW YEAR is here!!

We celebrated the festivities with my side of the family and so I will share a few pictures from that. You can see that when food is placed on a table, the arms just go for it! Manners???? What are those? LOL The picture of the kids (mine) in the T-shirts that I got for them. They all tell me that I LOVE them best, so I thought this would be a GREAT gag gift for them. We all got giggles out if, when they opened the boxes together

ENJOY your New Year!
