Wishing for warmth Wednesday!

Yep I am wishing I was some place WARM! I woke up and took a peak at the temp and it was telling me that it was -15! BRRRRRRR

So I guess it will be another day putzing in my stampin room!! I'm getting there. The purging is almost DONE and I have to tell you, it really does feel good! When I ran to Duluth a couple of weeks ago, I picked up a bunch of those plastic storage boxes. Now I'm putting them to use and ORGANIZING with them! I will post pics when I'm all complete with this project. I hope you will all be as amazed as I am! I guess what this getting ready for SPRING CLEANING has helped me realize - - - - is that when I make my future purchases I will put much more thought into them. Looking back I find that a lot of the purchases that I have made were - - - impulse buys. I guess I am really getting wiser and smarter in my older years. LOL







I hope that you enjoy my card share today! The GREEN colors are for a special friend - you know who you are! This is an Inky Antic stmap that I have had for some time and I think it's a good image to color!! I really LOVE my copic markers!!

Tuesday - Tuesday

The sun is shinning and that's about all! Ya can't let that fool you! The temps are BRRRRR! I woke up to a -8. All I can say is here we go again! Every time I put a log in the wood stove, I just smile and am happy to have the warmth!

Today I used some apricot appeal, certainly celery and white cardstock. I used the SU Upsy Daisy stamp set and May Arts ribbon. I really like the Upsy Daisy stamp set, as it doesn't only have the images, but also some sayings that go with it. It's like getting two stamp sets in one purchase!

I hope the warmth of color in this card sends some sunshine your way today!

Monday Madness

I'm back!

It is so hard to be away from here! Especially when it's not for FUN! I was to be out in California ENJOYING the warmth, sunshine, SWEET FRIENDS and CHA! NOT!! It was not in my cards for this trip. I will be at CHA for their winter show in July. I'm making sure of that!!

Okay enough of my pouting!!!

Today I'm sharing a bit of what I worked on over the last week. I hope you ENJOY it!


First doesn't everyone need Valentine Treats for gifts? I know times are tough for a lot of us, if not all of us. So I bought a pack of those cute - adorable little canning jars. The 6 oz. wide mouth short jars for jelly. I then filled them with Valentine TREATS! This jar is filled with - what else but M & Ms. I used an old Valentine's stamp from Inky Antics and I think it was just a PERFECT fit. I wish the glitter would have shown up better - the hearts on top are filled with dazzling diamond glitter. The tag on the side just pops it! I punched a hole through the lid band with my Crop-a-dile, then tied a grosgrain ribbon through both and TAHDAH!




Here's a card I did up with scraps of cardstock I had left over from last years "My Minds Eye" Valentine cardstock pack. Yep back to that "USE" word!


I'm happy with how it turned out!!

Monday - Monday!

Hello!

My week is off and running. Like a usual Monday I guess. hahahaha It's so nice to let things pile up on the weekends though and ENJOY being together and some times just playing games.





I LOVE how this card turned out!! I used one of my discontinued SU background stamps: Word by Word. I thought all the words were perfect for Valentine's Day!! I also did the packaging tape technique. I LOVE the sparkle it gives to the card.

It's a sunny Saturday!

Yep the sun is shinning and we are suppose to hit a whopping 28 degrees today! We are going to have a wonderful day and enjoy some of this warmer weather. We are going to even grill outside and go for a Muffy walk. We are going to take in this sunshine!!





Remember when I shared my Christmas Countdown Calendar? If not it was on my Nov 10th post. I had a few things all ready and like usual for me, didn't get around to making more of them. Using my WORD for 2010 "USE" I put my brain to use and hmmmm this is what I came up with. How many times do we have little ones ask how many more days until MY BIRTHDAY??? I think this will come in handy for the answer.

Here's a Valentine Day's gift

Yep this will come in handy for some one, anyone! Who doesn't need a pencil every now and then and when they have sparkles and hearts on them - - - that just makes them FUN to use! I also included a package of candy, cause you kinda need that on Valentine's day.






It's warming up just a bit up north! The sun is still shinning and making things a lot better! Plus tomorrow it's almost the weekend.

It's above zero!!!!

Finally and the sun is shinning! This just makes a person's day!!!

We did get a dusting of snow last night, but it was so pretty watching it coming down and sitting stamping while doing that!

I had a project that I wanted to make sure that I finished up for Sweet Peas over the weekend, along with all the regular chores a person does. So HEEEEEEERE is that project!


The saying says "10 things I like about you!" The light pink just doesn't show up very well, sorry! I made a pocket card and then placed 10 decorated strips of card stock in the pocket for them to write the 10 things they like.

I hope you enjoy it and try making one yourself for the one you LOVE! I LOVE Valentines!!!

January 10th!

WOW we are almost 1/2 way through January! I'm hoping that this means that spring will be arriving very - very soon! Can you tell that I have had enough of winter? I enjoy sitting by the fire and soaking up that heat, but I am tired of not being able to go for walks outside!!

Sunny Saturday!

The sun is shinning, but it's still BRRRRRR up north! The sun shine does help get through this chilly weather though. Now we just need it to warm up enough to melt some of the ice that has accumulated through the last few storms. With time and as I remind everyone who stops by, PLEASE be careful, very careful when you walk on my side walk or drive. I don't want anyone to get injured!


Here are my Valentines that I worked on the other day when I was staying inside, sitting by the wood stove and staying warm!





I had so much FUN making these and thinking of the sweet little faces that will receive them! I use the new SU set "Well Scripted". It's one of their new clear - mount sets. I am really liking how they work! More though I am liking how little space they take up on my shelf!!!!!! I also dug out one of my "I MUST HAVE" sizzix dies! I really like the "Mover & Shapers" die, it let's you place the die where ever you would like on the card and punch it out! I also used some of "My Minds Eye background paper to trim the card, which I am in LOVE with all of their papers! This is left over from my stash I picked up last year. See I am working on my word of 2010 - do you remember what it was????? USE, this is what I am trying very hard to do!

TGIF!

Yep I think that many of us are very happy that it's FRIDAY! Once again I'm not sure where the week has gone, but it has been very - very coooooold up north! BRRRR We are looking forward to spending a really nice quite - relaxing weekend at home! Maybe playing some cards and of course for me there will be some STAMPING involved in there some where! DH will be spending some time out in his MAN shop and working on a be-late Christmas gift.





How many of us start out the year making a promise to ourselves that we will be more organized? I know that I always try and hard for a matter of fact. So I put these little packages together for Sweet Peas and have found that others are enjoying them too!

First Monday of the NEW YEAR!!

I cannot believe that we are already in 2010! Where did 2009 go? I'm wishing all of you a wonderful 2010!!

I along with a group of friends have chosen a word for 2010. The word that I chose is USE! That will be my word for 2010 and I will try to USE what I have instead of always buying the NEW items that I see and think that I need! Keeping my fingers crossed that my word of 2010 will stick with me and that I will be able to purge some of my items that I have collected through the years!

So I'm sharing another FUN Valentine's project that I did. Like I said, my mind has been on working on Valentine theme items. Plus I'm "USE"ing some of my stash of tins, that I have collected. Now these are GREAT, as they are tins that had items in them, that we used and I just knew that a day would come and the tin would come in handy!!

My brain is working over - time on all the things I could place in this adorable little box!!
